Dipping with minwax

I have seen tutorials on dipping before, but it really didn't appeal to me until I had a butt load if IG to paint in a short time for a tournament. I had ran a tourney earlier I. The year and a player had dipped his grey knights they looked good and that really pushed me over so I did some research. And picked up some poly stain at Menards for around $5. So I did a test model and really liked the outcome of the dip, I used Mission oak a dark brown stain the first couple came out kind if dark, but after getting the hang of it they started looking nice! I used a lined trash can and Q-tips to soak up the excess stain, leaving the right amount. The poly leaves a shiny finish even with the satin, stain but a coat of matte varnish/ clear coat fixed that right up! Here are some pictures of some dipped models with out the matte finishes.
